Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at Wa No Kaede went above and beyond all my expectations. The hotel's proximity to Shinjuku Station made it incredibly convenient for exploring Tokyo's attractions, with fantastic dining options like Freshness Burger and Niboshi Ramen Nagi just a stone's throw away. The traditional Japanese design of the hotel provided a serene escape from the bustling city, transporting me back in time while enjoying modern comforts like the spotless and well-equipped bathroom facilities. The attention to detail in the room layout, with separate washrooms allowing for simultaneous use, truly showcased the thoughtfulness of the hotel's design. The friendly and accommodating staff, who allowed us to drop off our luggage early and provided excellent hospitality throughout our stay, added an extra layer of warmth to the experience. I was particularly impressed by the unexpected bonus of a fridge in the room, which was a delightful surprise. Wa No Kaede not only met but exceeded my stringent criteria, offering a perfect blend of traditional Japanese charm and modern convenience in the heart of Tokyo.
